Michael Durden
Michael Durden brings a wealth of experience advising and executing on M&A transactions and other corporate development functions. With Experian Marketing Services, a billion-dollar marketing services business, Michael built and ran the firm’s corporate development group. Under Michael’s leadership, the team acquired and integrated numerous companies, ranging in size from $5 million to $250 million. Durden’s efforts transformed the business from a print & lettershop business to one of the largest multinational digital marketing and data firms. Overall Michael has led over 20 acquisitions and integrations in his career.
Michael has experience in starting, growing and managing businesses. At Experian, he was a founding member of what is now their Consumer Services division and was instrumental in building the initial online credit information products in both the US and UK. He also was responsible for a multi-national business unit for the Marketing Services division.
Since leaving Experian, Michael has continued to advise companies through acquisitions and divestitures, with clients of all sizes, including multi-billion dollar private and public companies as well as smaller private businesses. Michael uses his operating and innovation background to advise companies on strategic partnerships, operations integration and efficiency, core strategy and reorganization initiatives. He has also served as a director of numerous public and private companies and is an operating advisor to Clearpoint Investment Partners.
Michael has an MBA in finance and a BS in Computer Information Systems degree, both from Tulane University.
